It was very white and frosty morning leaving Midhurst but apart from frozen puddles, no sign of frost for Pauline's walk at Dell Quay. Leaving the pub car park we headed towards Birdham by taking a path next to the Chichester Channel. After a stroll around the yachts and houseboats in the Marina we stopped for coffee with some electing to use the Boathouse Cafe. The return journey was more inland but this was effectively completing the circumnavigation of the WWII Appledrum Airfield, in use from June 1943 until June 1944. After 4.1/2 miles we were back to the Crown and Anchor for an excellent lunch. Thank you Pauline for the photos and a great walk.
