Pete's walk will start from Sheepwash Lane in Lavant (SU860 084) parking next to the georgeous River Lavant. The first part of the walk will be a pleasant stroll alongside the chalk fed river then climb up to the Iron Age fort on the top of the Trundle which will give 360 degrees of fantastic views. Catch our breath and then downhill to our lunch break at The Dean in West Dean next to the A286 where we should arrive at about 12.30/1.00pm and after lunch we will return to the car parking via the disused Chichester to Midhurst railway track bed cycle and walk way.
