Pauline has a day walk planned and thanks also to Jean for much assistance in pre-walking. Starting from St James Church, Birdham, a flat walk totalling around six and half miles. morning just over four miles across country to the shore line overlooking Thorney Island and round to the Ship at Itchenor where we will have lunch before a two and half mile walk back in the afternoon. Pauline's walk is as follows - starting in Dell Quay, take the Dell Quay road off the A286 south of Chichester, this is a flat circular walk of about four and half miles finishing with lunch in the Crown and Anchor who have said we can park in their car park while we walk if needed but please park as tightly as possible, PO20 7EE - SU 83577 02856
This walk is a mystery tour that may well include Woolbeding with lunch somewhere in Midhurst - although the Spread Eagle is probably not the chosen pub. Start is from the car park. Marian will almost certainly not be attending as she had an argument with June Lane this week - see NEWS.

There may be cattle on the walk so click here RAMBLERS ADVICE if you need guidance. Lunch at “YE OLDE GEORGE INN” East Meon, GU32 1NH, 50º59’41.60”N-1º01’56.30”W, SU68007 22166
This is really a long walk day but as folk may still be recovering, we thought a morning stroll around Milland may be a good way of starting off the New Year. So we will start from the Rising Sun in Milland and take a 4.1/2 mile stroll before having lunch in The Rising Sun to round off the walking day. Some parts in this valley do suffer from the rain so good boots will probably be needed.
